This issue of the EIP Journal is an attempt to gather and share info on the ideas and beliefs people have concerning "Heaven", or Eternity if you will. We are not fundamentalist Christians, as anyone who reads the Journal knows. We will try to remain fairly neutral and merely act as loose filters for the incoming data. In other words, hard-core pornography or scams about getting-rich from the internet will probably be passed over in favor of serious submissions on the subject at hand.

And a fascinating subject it is. Heaven, like love, sex, and common sense, is a word, an idea, thrown around as if generally understood and agreed upon. Yet I doubt that there are two people in the entire world who have an identical idea of Heaven. As for me, I’m a seeker like most people - I don’t know what Heaven is, and I’m doing this issue partly because the original dream for the “Internet” was to link the minds and souls of it’s users. I really am fascinated to know what people around the world think of this cherished concept, to have held on to it for so many centuries. So please do get your responses to us, by using the form or by email if necessary (especially for longer submissions), and feel free to browse through the following quotes and ideas contributed by the EIP "inner circle". But what matters here is your contributions. Please submit anything you like, but please include only material you are willing to share with the world. We may publish part or all of your contributions, or maybe not. The amount of material to sift through will determine what is included, but that is less important than getting as much feedback as possible. Some material will be added to the archives section later on.

Our attempts to sort and arrange the material will comprise EIP issue #7 (we're skipping #6 for now - 7th Heaven - get it?). Stay tuned.
